How to select all clips in a track?
« on: January 24, 2021, 02:14:57 PM »
I can't find a way to select all of the clips in a selected track so that I can delete them. There is a function to select "clip" or "clip in centered track" but not all clips in the track. There is also a command "Select all Sibling Clips" but that doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cakewalk doesn't provide reasonable content manipulation functions in Surface API. But you can send keyboard shortcuts ('Keyboard' action). So after you focus (function) track, you can send ',' key to select the track. From my observations, that also selects all clips. And so you can send "Del" to delete them.

Note that the result is as "stable" as keyboard shortcuts. F.e. you may want to append send ',' to deselect the track. Also all clips are selected and deleted only in case there is no time selection.

Thanks for your reply. I will try your suggestion. I also found another solution:

Select clip at timeline
Command 'Edit Select From = Start
Command Edit Select Thru = End
Command Edit Delete
