It would be nice if you could somehow have it recognize a touch so do animations

I am interested in getting the Embertone Friedlanders violin yet the the expression input is very limited to a regular controller by using a knob and a slider so if somehow a touchpad could be used as x and y input it would be very good and helpful to many others  thanks for all the things you have done for Sonar

I am not an expert in controlling instruments, but I think ModWheel / PitchBend / Aftertouch are primary controls for that. There are also XY pads (touch pads) on some MIDI controllers and interesting apps for phones/tables. No special software required, the Instrument is normally able to map corresponding controls directly.
