Title: Mackie D8b control surface

Hi all. I am wondering if anybody is using the Mackie D8b mixer as a control surface? I know 8 channels at a time, I want to be able to see the 24 meters and mix in any DAW. Any thoughts about modifying and opinions? Thanks...
